All programing at Starks Sports Training focuses around three components that are imperative to athlete success: Speed + Agility, Strength + Power, and Mobility. Each of these areas play their own unique role and relies on the others to improve performance.

 

SPEED + AGILITY

SST will evaluate each athletes mechanics to pin point what areas need improvement. Once assessed, we will create a custom program for Linear & Lateral Speed Development that best suits that athlete and their sport. SST works to build on many key skills to help develop speed such as:

  • Improved Biomechanics

  • Improved Acceleration & Deceleration

  • Increased Maximal Velocity

  • Enhanced Ability to Change Direction

  • Improved Rate of Force Development

Beginner (Ages 10-12) - Fundamentals of Form Running Mechanics

Intermediate (Ages 12-15) - Introduction to Explosive Speed & Agility

 Advanced (Ages 15-Up) - High Level Explosive Speed & Agility Skill Development


STRENGTH + POWER

All athletes will be monitored on form and technique so that they can learn the proper way to train. Athletes will be put on a professional/collegiate style program in which they will have a personalized training card that will be used to record progression and improved performance each week. If you want to become a stronger and more powerful athlete then this program will get you there!

This program accommodates youth athletes ages 12 & up. All youth athletes will be put through a proper progression of body weight movements to free weight movements. This will insure that they can learn the proper technique and motor patterns that are required for training and developing as an athlete. 

Intermediate (Ages 12-14) - Introduction to Fundamental Weight Training

 Advanced (Ages 15-Up) - High Level Strength Training
