Currently completing Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Belmont University , Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Minor in Sports Medicine from Belmont University

  • Former McCracken County Soccer Defense: All District/Region Defender for 2016-2017 year

BIO:
Coach Macy Scharpenberg is a Paducah local that was a standout high school soccer athlete at McCracken County High School. She played club soccer for several years with Western Kentucky United and at the end of her career played as team captain with Music City FC. After high school, she attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN to major in Exercise Science. While at Belmont, she had several internship opportunities with local athletics. Her favorite internship was at Vanderbilt University working alongside the women’s soccer team and head athletic trainer. She also received the Bill Bandy Award from Belmont’s Exercise Science Department for excellent academics and character. Currently, Coach Macy is studying at Belmont University to acquire her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her final rotation for PT school will be in New Orleans, LA working with Oschner Sports Medicine. She will help treat all types of athletes from high school to the professional level. She is expected to graduate in August 2024.  Her career interest is mainly focused on Outpatient and Sports Physical Therapy. Coach Macy is excited to continue her sports training journey at Starks Sports Training!
