BIO:
Coach Collin Walsh grew up and played football in Connecticut. As an undersized athlete, he knew that he had to earn everything by putting in 5x the amount of work the athletes that passed the “eye-test” did. He graduated high school with only (2) offers in the D2 & D3 collegiate level in the Northeast. Instead of accepting, he committed himself to what he knew was possible – a roster spot at an established, high-level football school. After a year on the East Carolina University football team, he transitioned to Olympic Weightlifting and helped start the first University recognized Olympic Weightlifting Club team where he would go on to be invited to compete in the National University Olympic Weightlifting Meet in Albuquerque, NM. Upon graduating, Collin accepted a position with D1 Sports Training in Tampa, FL where him and Coach Starks first met and coached together at both D1 Tampa and D1 Clearwater! In their times there they both ran programming for many of the facilities training classes as well as coached NFL Combine Prep & NFL vets group training. After (3) years in Florida working with D1, Collin moved back to his hometown where he accepted an assistant position with the University of Connecticut’s Football Strength & Conditioning coaching staff. Quickly after that, he recognized a desire to work with all athletes of all sports and ages. He accepted the Head Coach position back with D1 Sports Training to help open a new location in St. Louis, MO and has maintained his love for helping younger generations understand the discipline, grit, and commitment to bettering oneself as a student-athlete.
