BIO:
Coach VanCura has always been passionate about sports and athletics her whole life, participating in basketball, soccer, and tennis in her school career. After high school, she continued to play soccer through recreational and competitive leagues up until the historic 2021 tornado took away Mayfield’s Soccer Factory.  After setting out of USTA tennis for 12 years, she decided to pick the sport back up where she continues to be on as many leagues as possible to manage and enjoys working towards developing her game and skills, which is just as much mental as it is physical.

Not only is she passionate about sports, she is just as passionate about taking care of one’s health and wellness and practices what she preaches on a daily basis.  After working in research, she decided to take her education to new level and obtained a Dietetics Degree from Murray State in 2016. Entering the workforce upon graduation, she has worked in the community setting in various programs including diabetes case management, health education, and environmental in which she holds a State Sanitarian License.

She recently left the corporate world of HR and Wellness after an immediate family death to take time for mental health, which she is also passionate about. After taking time to reset, she is focused on helping others to become the best versions of themselves through offering Nutrition plans and education as well as speed/agility and personal training coaching with us.

“Having a child athlete myself and investing in her skills development, I knew that Starks was the right answer.  I have watched her grow in confidence in the last several weeks working closely with Coach Colbe and I am so thankful this training facility and team is in place. I am excited to be a part of this community and I look forward to working with all of you. It’s important to remember that each of us has a unique health and wellness journey and that it is not a sprint, but a marathon to longevity.”
